Art Asylum Star Trek

In late 2001, Art Asylum was announced as the successful bidder for the license to create a new line of Star Trek toys. With over 35 years of characters to cull from, the company decided to jump right in and create toys for the new television series, Enterprise, and the upcoming tenth motion picture, Star Trek: Nemesis. The figures are 7" in scale and come in basic or deluxe version, with the deluxe coming with a base or a piece of Enterprise bridge. The initial wave was released in August 2002 with figures from the series premiere of Enterprise, "Broken Bow." This first set of figures will include:

  • Captain Jonathan Archer
  • Sub-Commander T'Pol
  • Lieutenant Malcolm Reed
  • Ensign Travis Mayweather
  • Silik the Suliban
  • Klaang the Klingon

    • There is also be a 12" scale ship of the Enterprise NX-01 with lights and sounds in the first wave. Two role-playing devices, the phase pistol and communicator, are also be available in one set. The ship and accessories will be released in September or October. For the film, Star Trek: Nemesis, Art Asylum have produced four figures in the initial wave. Future waves may complete the rest of the main cast. The figures in this set are:

  • Shinzon
  • Reman Viceroy

    • The second wave of figures was released in December 2002. Also, a Fan Club exclusive of Doctor Phlox in Away Team Suit will be available towards the end of the year. The figures in wave two are:

  • Sub-Commander T'Pol in Away Team Suit
  • Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker in Away Team Suit
  • Hoshi Sato in Away Team Suit
  • Shran the Andorian
  • Nausicaan Captain

    • The Borg Assimilation line, showcasing assimilated versions of aliens, was released in early 2003 and included:

  • Cardassian
  • Hirogen
  • Klingon

    • The first wave of Star Trek: The Original Series figures was released in 2003, coinciding with the release of the light and sound U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A and the Trek Tek pack of the classic phaser and. The figure set will include:

  • Captain James T. Kirk
  • Commander Spock
  • Doctor Leonard McCoy
  • Lieutenant Uhura
  • Khan Noonien Singh

    • The second wave of Star Trek: The Original Series figures was released in 2004 and included:

  • Captain James T. Kirk from "Mirror, Mirror"
  • Commander Spock from "Mirror, Mirror"
  • Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott
  • Lieutenant Sulu
  • Ensign Chekov

    • The third wave of Star Trek: The Original Series figures is to be released in 2005 and includes:

  • Captain James T. Kirk from "Arena"br>
  • The Gorn
  • Vina, the Orion Slave Girl
  • Kor the Klingon

    • Also to be released in the summer of 2005 is the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E ship along with a wave of Star Trek: The Next Generation figures.
